Horse

Even though the horse has been on this earth for many thousands of years, humans only domesticated them a short six thousand years.  Native Americans didn’t start using horses until the European and Hispanic settlers found their way into North America.  Today, horses are found on most farms, and still exist today in feral populations (mustangs).

The horse is an icon of travel.  Before cars were invented, if you did not have a horse, you didn’t travel far.  Today, horses are still used by Amish people for means of travel.

Because mustangs still roam free, the horse is also a symbol of freedom and energy.  Imagine yourself running across the open fields, with the wind in your hair.  How do you feel?  Lighthearted and free?

If you see a horse in your tea leaves, it could mean good news is on the way.  If the horse has a rider, expect the news to come from overseas.  If all you see is the head of a horse, then maybe a new lover will find his/her way into your life.

To dream of a horse, generally means good fortune ahead.  To dream of a dead horse, signifies many disappointments ahead.   To kill a horse in your dreams means you will verbally or physically injure one of your friends.

If a horse has come into your life, regardless if it was a dream or not, you should look at new travels.  It may be time to move on, and to change your surroundings and find your freedom.  If something is holding you back, break free and run like the wind.
