Beltane/May Day
May Day has been celebrated form ancient times as a spring festival all over the world.

May Basket
(Sing to the tune” A Tisket, A Tasket”)
A-tisket, A-tasket I made a May Day Basket.
I filled it up with flowers bright and hung it on the door just right.

Beltane Herbs: All flowers, angelica, apple, ash, bluebell, calendula, cinquefoil, red clover, daisy, frankincense, hawthorn, honeysuckle, lilac, primrose, rose, rowan, St. John’s Wort, strawberry, woodruff
Beltane Incense: Frankincense, Lilac, Rose, Passion flower, Vanilla,.
Beltane Colors: Green, Soft pink, Blue, Yellow, White. All of the colors of the rainbow.
Beltane Decorations: Maypole, Strings of beads or flowers, Ribbons, Spring flowers (roses, bluebells, daisies, primrose, lilac), Daisy chain necklaces and bells on heels. Strawberries, Faeries.

Activities to do on May Day:
Make a May Basket and fill it with flowers and give it to someone.
Make a pressed flower card. Sit in a pile of flowers.
Go into the woods and get in tuned with Mother Nature.
Make a garland of flowers to wear in your hair.
Dress up in bright flowery clothes or wear green.
Make a Jack-in-the-bush. (A pyramid shape of greenery, crowned in flowers representing the Jack–in-the-Green, or the Greenman.)
Dance around the maypole.
Wash your face with the morning dew.
Plant a tree in the yard of your love one.
Tie bells to your shoes to protect yourself from mischief fairy folk.
Bake sweet cakes and place them in your thyme garden to invite fairy folk.

April 5th 6pm: New Moon Circle. We will be holding an open Circle that night, along with a fire (weather permitting) Come join us for a night of mystery and manifesting! Free Event/Tips Appreciated.
April 8 Total Solar Eclipse. We will see it as a partial eclipse. Starting around 1:54 PM, the peak will be after 3:11 PM and will end around 4:26 PM. W and W is selling Eclipse Glasses in the store. Get yours before they run out.

April 12th 6pm: Intro to Draconic Magick with Dragon’s Cauldron. Come join the Dragon Witch for a night of dragons…! She will take you to another level, if you’re ready. This class is to introduce you to working with the dragons and finding your inner Dragon. Come talk dragons with Dragon’s Cauldron.
Class is $20 and a 2 hour class, pay in advance and its only $15.
(A new feature has been added….going to test it this coming up class….. You can’t make it, but want to be apart of it? Dragon’s Cauldron is going to do a ‘test run’ on using Zoom Meet that night. Want to be part of the beta testing? $10, and has to be prepaid before getting the link)

April 19th 6pm: Crystal Class with “The Bone Lady”. Come join Danielle Chavez on the wonders and beauties of crystals! Leave with a free bag of crystals! $20.00
April 19 &20: Toad Song Farm Herbs will be on sale at Truely Unique in Wilson for 2 days only. Mary will be there both days from noon until 5:00.

There will be two main events happening this day as well!!! We have locked down, not just one but TWO WitchCon Online presenters to do a Zoom class held specifically at the store!!!! Each class will be $20.00 a person, but you will have interaction with both presenters, as well as be able to ask questions straight to them! More details coming soon as far as what the classes entail!! (Will update as I get them!)
~Come join Byron Ballard a WitchCon Online presenter at 2pm for a fun filled Zoom class “Warts, Waters and What Mountain Folk Know”! Dive deep into the specific uses of water in Appalachian folk magic. From stump water and willowwater for cures to ditchwater for creativity and dish water for warts, the many uses of this powerful element have been passed down since the early days of immigration. Learn how they can broaden your own magical practice. This will be one of the two paid events for Earth Day $20.00 a person, but this also includes personal interaction with Byron via Zoom and you will be able to ask any questions that you may have!!

Dill
Medicinally: Dill is an antispasmodic, antibacterial, expectorant, & stimulant. Good for colic and stomach ailments, relieves nausea. Strengthen fingernail by soaking them in a strong infusion of dill seed ten minutes a day.
Historically: In Anglo Saxon Times, this herb was a cure all from charms and to ward off diseases. (Elf Disease and Water Elf Disease.) Egyptian medical documents listed dill more than 5000 years ago. They used it to treat headaches. Roman and Greeks grew dill in their gardens for food, medicinal, and perfumed incense.
Pliny and Dioscorides wrote of its calming powers and called this herb Anethon. Dill was cultivated in the Palestine and many believed that it is the anise mentioned in the bible. Anglo Saxon’s called it Dylle and the old Norse, Dilla both meaning “to lull”. The Arch Bishop of Canterbury (Alfric) in the 10 century wrote about it. He thought it was to ward off charms and curses of witches. It was also used by witches and sorcerers.
Spiritual: Protection, (protects children) money, love, & lust. Dispels jealously, bad dreams, attracts money balances emotional issues. Place over your door to prevent evil from entering home. Make sachets for protecting your children. Adding dill to your bath water will make you irresistible. If eaten or smelled, will stimulate lust thoughts. Smell dill to cure hiccups. Traditionally Dill was believed to have protective powers and to counteract any spells and curses.

Dill Sauce for Fish
½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
1 ½ tablespoons Dijon-style prepared mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill or dried dill leaves
White pepper
Directions: Whisk together sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, and dill until well blended. Chill before serving.

Please shop with us for relaxing, fun and games during your holiday shopping. We worked really hard to get something for everyone. We have the best stocking stuffer around. We have some very interesting ornaments. Our staff will help you cross off your list the gifts for everyone in your family. Don’t forget co-workers and teachers.
Every week a new surprise or game will be played with extra savings. Weekly Sales will be posted. (If you do not have Facebook, call us and we will tell you the weekly sales.)
Goodies are always on the table to eat while you are shopping. Hot apple cider and tea every Friday and Saturday and homemade soup on Saturdays.

Medicinal Uses: digestive aid, anesthetic, decongestant, infection prevention, soothes menstrual cramps. Good for flues, colds, ingestion, gas, & cramps. A stimulant, antispasmodic, diuretic, digestive, muscles, intestines, & circulation. Good for nervous system. Good for flues, colds, ingestion, gas, & cramps. Safe for children. The oil is not for use during pregnancy.

Butter Rum and Butter Beer
(Popular with the Harry Potter crowd)
Rosemary Grace
Buttered rum was a popular recipe in colonial America, and it’s easy to see why — it’s GOOD. You can brew this up in your crockpot, ladle out a nice big mug and sit by the fire on a chilly winter evening. It’s the perfect warm drink for Yule. If you leave out the rum, your kids can enjoy it too (here’s a tip — when your little one wants to have a Harry Potter party, make a rum-free pot of this recipe and call it butter beer). Ingredients:
2 Quarts apple juice 2 C firmly packed brown sugar
1 stick butter (use the real stuff, not margarine) 3 Tbs. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves 1 tsp. nutmeg
2 C. your favorite rum Refrigerated whipped dessert topping
Cinnamon sticks and nutmeg for garnish
Preparation: Warm up the apple juice and brown sugar in a pot. Add the butter (dice up the stick before you put it in there, so it’ll melt faster). Stir until the butter is melted. Add the spices and the rum. Cover the pot, and simmer on low for 2 – 4 hours. Ladle into mugs for serving. Top each with a dollop of whipped topping and a cinnamon stick. Sprinkle with a dash of nutmeg.
Crockpot Wassail
1/2 gallon apple cider 1 cup cranberry juice 1/2 cup honey 2 orange cut into sections 2 or 3 cinnamon sticks 1 tablespoon allspice 1 teaspoon ginger 1. Plug in crockpot and put on low. Add the apple cider and cranberry juice. 2. Mix well with spoon. Add honey. 3. Cut oranges and add to the mixture. Drop in cinnamon stick 4. Add allspice and ginger stir well. Add more apple cider if needed. 5. Cook on low heat for two hours or more. Stir occasionally. Serve hot.

We want to deliver something positive for this community in hopes of directing our youth towards other paths in life where they can thrive and be successful! We have a spectacular lineup for you! There will be hairstylists and barbers on set to give back to school cuts FREE of charge, donating their time and service to our children! We have FREE face painting for the kids as well as games and prizes! There will be raffles for the parents with awesome prizes. Including apparel from DumbRich! We have some amazing vendors serving you with some of their talented work! There is way too much to list!

Every Saturday starting April 29, 1 PM Truely Unique Herbal Course. 6 classes total.
Classes and a booklet with hands on training about everything you need to know about herbs. The course cost $130.00 for all of the classes. Each class takes 2 to 3 hours. With each class you get hands on training with making your own salve on the last night. You Must RSVP. A certificate will be presented on the last night. All supplies included. Payment options are available.
