Monthly Archives: February 2023
March 2023
Yearly project for you.
In January we had you make negativity box to write down all past negativity, hurt and anger and put it in the box. Please continue doing this all year but remember to burn the box at least every few months. We had a fire in February which around 20 people gathered and burnt those feelings to remove all the bad stuff out of your life. For February we had you looking for something that makes you happy. A moment in time to feel true happiness. Now continue this for every month.
For March is for self-love. Make time in your life to thank yourself, to hug yourself, to feel good about something you have done. We often forget to pat our self on our own back for simple gesture or event. Come to the new moon burning event on March 21 at 6:30 PM for a special poster for self- love. We will have free gifts for you.

Ostara represent new life, rebirth, and balance.
Where light takes over the darkness.
Eggs, butterflies, flowers, moons, rabbits and snakes rule this light. The youthful and virile Gods and Goddesses are busy preparing the worlds for this time. It is a time for the sun and moon, and fire is the ruling element.
Aquamarine, rose quartz, and moonstone are the stones for the season.
Collect crocus, daffodil, dandelions, Irish moss and other spring flowers.
Jasmine, ginger, hyssop, linden, dandelion, magnolia, lotus are wonderful scents to work with. Try them as the plant, or incense form.
Pastel colors such as blues, yellows, and pinks, all toward the light.
Pick up a good book on renewing your faith, join in on classes or join a study group or group to expand your sights.
Freshen up your alter with springtime adornments.

Herb of the Month: Dill
Dill is an antispasmodic, antibacterial, expectorant, & stimulant. Good for colic and stomach ailments, relieves nausea. Strengthen fingernail by soaking them in a strong infusion of dill seed ten minutes a day.
Historically: In Anglo Saxon Times, this herb was a cure all from charms and to ward off diseases. (Elf Disease and Water Elf Disease.) Egyptian medical documents listed dill more than 5000 years ago. They used it to treat headaches.
Roman and Greeks grew dill in their gardens for food, medicinal, and perfumed incense.
Pliny and Dioscorides wrote of its calming powers and called this herb Anethon.
Dill was cultivated in the Palestine and many believed that it is the anise mentioned in the bible. Anglo Saxon’s called it Dylle and the Old Norse, Dilla both meaning “to lull”.
The Arch Bishop of Canterbury (Alfric) in the 10 century wrote about it. He thought it was to ward off charms and curses of witches. It was also used by witches and sorcerers.
Spiritual: Protection, (protects children) money, love, & lust. Place over your door to prevent evil from entering home. Make sachets for protecting your children. Adding dill to your bath water will make you irresistible. If eaten or smelled, will stimulate lust thoughts.
Smell dill to cure hiccups. Traditionally Dill was believed to have protective powers and to counteract any spells and curses.
Try Dill on any summer salad, especially well in potato salad, Potato soup or devil eggs. Grind drill and use as an alternative to salt.

The Art of Divination a Tarot Project:
As a psychic shaman, a few years ago, I decided to use oracle and tarot decks for predicting future events for myself. This was month by month, at first. These past 3 years, changed to a year of 12 castings, saved in a journal with interpretations recorded.
One card, chosen, defines the question asked. It is best to choose a question concerning future probabilities. I use up to 4 with more detail at this point in my personal work. I advise beginners to go monthly at first.
Pull a card at the end of the month to ride the energies into the next one.
This provides a record that can be helpful to determine the level of accuracy as a reader.
I do recommend holding it privately, just like spell work. This is a way to accept what the Universe brings us to stop negativity and victimhood. We are using the tools of our Craft to support our paths. If more detail is needed, more cards can be pulled that month. The question one might ask for March: where do I need to focus in order to renew areas that I neglected?
If there is interest in this beyond this column, contact Truely Unique to request a class. Bene!

The Plants Are Coming! The Plants Are Coming!
Mary will be bringing out plants from Toad Song Farm again this spring, but for one weekend only. She’ll be here on Friday and Saturday, April 14 & 15. You’ll be able to shop a selection of Mary’s great herbs and hanging baskets.
Because of the large selection of herbs growing in the greenhouse, and the desire to bring exactly what everyone wants,
Mary is offering pre-ordering this year. You’ll be able to pick up an order form and place your orders at Truely Unique. Mary will bring your plants with her on Friday, April 14.
We’ll give you a call once your order arrives so you can pick it up. Preorders must be finished and turned in by April 1 to give Mary the time to pull your plants and have them ready to bring out.
One of our local artist, Ravens Fur made our “We are Truely Unique” Coffee Cups. This is our fund raiser for the year. Buying a cup or two will make great gifts as well as supporting one or more of our favorite community projects. They make great gifts.
Having a hard time getting to the store during regular hours? Remember; call and make an appointment 24 hours in advance and we will open for you.
