Friday, August 4: 5 PM to 8 PM: Spiritual Night Out: Free event. Socialize, discuss a variety of topics. Topic this month is: Divination.
Friday Aug 11th, 6 PM Darlene’s Chakra Class: Come learn the basics, health benefits, and spiritual elements of working with Chakras! This is a 2 hour class with materials and meditations. $20, pay in advance only $15!

Friday Aug 18th, 6 PM. Osteomancy “Bone Throwing” Class. Wild Curiosities and the Dragon Witch will be offering an Osteomancy class for beginners! Come learn what it all entails, down to even walking off with your very own kit. $50 for the class, pre-register and its $40!
Saturday, August 19, 2 PM Pendulum Class with Sheena: Hands on class on how to use a pendulum and ways it can help you. Bring your pendulum if you have one otherwise one will be provided. $15.00

The Novel Nest Bookstore and Manic Creations, LLC presents to you, Reading for Our Future, a back to school reading event for the youth here in Wilson. We have teamed up with Truely Unique as our sponsor to deliver you something positive for this community in hopes of directing our youth towards other paths in life where they can thrive and be successful! We have a spectacular lineup for you! There will be hairstylists and barbers on set to give back to school cuts FREE of charge, donating their time and service to our children! We have FREE face painting for the kids as well as games and prizes! There will be raffles for the parents with awesome prizes including apparel from DumbRich! We have some amazing vendors serving you with some of their talented work! There is way too much to list! I look forward to seeing you there! You’re not going to wanna miss it! If you want to donate school supplies please drop them off at either store before the event. If you want to volunteer please contact us. We look forward to seeing you there!

Clearing and balancing your Chakras: Chakra Healing/Balancing every Friday afternoons with Darlene. By appointment or walk-in. Tuning forks, crystals and/or Reiki energy are used to help clear and balance the energy of the 7 main chakras. A thirty minute session is $30.00.
Also available is a chakra oracle reading session that can focus on a specific chakra. Approximately 10 minutes for $5.00 per oracle card. Darlene is a Reiki master/teacher with a chakra certification and 30 years’ experience in healing energy. Email dcandrey@hotmail.com

Foods: Corn, Wheat, Rye, Rice, Barley, and other grains. Blackberries, honey butter, tomatoes, cucumbers, and all other first Harvest foods.

Herb of the Month: Linden
An antioxidant reduces fatty tissue in blood vessels, sore throats, headaches, nervous stomachs, and insomnia, reduces fevers, may lower blood pressure by relaxing the heart and improving blood flow. Safe for Children. Do not take within 2 hours of taking vitamin or minerals. It will interfere with absorption of the nutrients.
Historically: Lithuanian Women once made sacrifices to the Linden tree as part of a ritual.
Very popular in France as a after dinner drink. The drink is called Tilleul.
Spiritually: Linden protects, gives luck, immortality, and love. In Europe they hang branches over their door for protection. Linden works well in good luck charms.
Crockpot Bacon Cheese Potatoes
Ingredients: 1/4 pound bacon, diced – I cook it first in the oven so that it is “done” and browned then I dice it and place in the crock pot.
2 medium onions thinly sliced.
4 medium potatoes thinly sliced
1/2 pound cheddar cheese, thinly sliced (shredded is fine)
Pepper, green onions, and parsley
1/2 stick butter
Layer half each of the bacon, onions and potatoes in the crockpot.
Season to taste with herbs and dot with (real) butter.
Repeat layers of bacon, onions, potatoes and cheese.
Cover and cook on low for up to 6 hours (check at 4 hours – depending on your crock pot).
Add cheese for the last 20 – 30 minutes and enjoy!
